Documentary & Fine-Art Photographer
Exploring memory, labor & cultural rituals in Anatolia
Artist Statement
My work focuses on memory, labor and cultural rituals, exploring how
individual lives and collective identities are shaped by place, time
and tradition.
Through long-term documentary and fine-art photography projects, I
engage with disappearing crafts, mourning rituals and everyday life in
Anatolia. I am interested in spaces where history is not written, but
lived — carried through gestures, bodies and repeated acts.
Working primarily in black and white, my practice aims to create a
timeless visual language that connects the present with cultural
continuity, loss and resilience. Photography, for me, is a way of
bearing witness to fragile forms of knowledge before they disappear.
